John Stop
To complete your Florida vacation, you must experience a Everglades fishing charter with a friendly native fishing guide. Our Florida fishing boat charters depart from the little fishing village of Goodland, just a few miles from Marco Island and about 20 miles south of Naples, Florida.
Captain John Stop shares his 33 years of experience fishing local waters by guiding up to six passengers in his favorite Gulf of Mexico nearshore and backwater hot spots in the Everglades coastal wilderness known as the Ten Thousand Islands. Species commonly caught are redfish, snook, snapper, trout, shark, tarpon, spanish mackeral, drum, flounder, tripletail and many more.
Captain John has held his commercial U.S. Coast Guard Masters License since 1988, has a Guide Permit issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and is a certified and supporting member of the Society for Ethical Ecotourism in Southwest Florida.
For your Everglades fishing pleasure, the "Strike" is a 25' center-console vessel that offers spacious room with bimini shade cover and complete compliment of safety and marine electronics. We provide everything you'll need for fishing including bait, tackle and license. Bring along your choice of snacks or beverage.
